Common actions
A variety of common actions connect the three research teams giving coherence to the project. They also allow comparisons and the synthesis of research findings as well as scholarly exchange, the elaboration of a common theoretical and methodological approach, and the construction of a common research infrastructure.
The common actions include:
1) The integrated research information system. This includes the project’s website and two databases, one bibliographical and one holding the research data of the voluntary associations. The bibliographical database gathers the bibliography employed by the researchers. It can be searched thematically thanks to the use of key words. The voluntary associations database records all the associations found, with all the relevant information that was revealed in the course of the research. All researchers have access to both databases, which they continue to update throughout the study. At the end of the project, the website and the databases, which will be incorporated in the website, will be handed to the University of Crete.
2) The standing research seminar of the RTs, held twice a year in rotation at the RT universities.
3) Four workshops synthesising the research results, one for each RT and a final one.
4) An international conference at the end of the project, which will be held at the University of Crete.
